We met back in Grinnell College in orchestra.  We played the Mendelssohn Octet together, Anne on violin and Nate on cello.  A great piece and a great start in 2003!

Over the years, we’ve traveled continents.  Sometimes apart but many times together.  When Anne spent a long year in South Korea teaching English, Nate was able to visit.  When we both finished Korean adventures and college, we moved to Washington, D.C.  We were fortunate to spend two years with friends, making new friends, and, of course, playing in a fun community orchestra.

After Washington, we both ventured back to school.  Anne in Michigan, Nate in Wisconsin.  Four more years of long distance led to many roadtrips across the entire Midwest.  But, we survived!  We decided our new city between our schools: the great city of Chicago.  And here we are in 2015.  Still playing and having fun adventures together!
